Please Stay for the Night
• Rules
This is pretty easily followed. Every one has them, and you're currently visiting them now, correct? Or can't you read properly? You have serious issues, then. Reading is a part of everyday life. You do not post talks or general nonsense here. Got it? It's that simple.
• Admin
A place for ONLY the admin to visit. It won't be locked, unless something terribly important is occurring, or we're discussing a member's status, otherwise it'll be free for you to pop by in order to keep up with certain changes occuring to this site.
• Notices
This place is free advertisement, on top of other notes you might want to add, a general talks section really. No harrassing others, okay?
• Information
Here, any questions you might have PMed to me, will be answered. Feel free to post a question here. It'll be answered, deleted, and you'll remain reasonably free of being the person who asked.
On an Island in the Sun
• Suggestions
You can read the title, correct? Well, that's a start. Make a suggestion, any suggestion, and I'll think about adding to it. It's as simple as one-two-three.
• Literature
Got a story you want to share, or are you a lyric-writer for one of the bands? Or a solo performer? Well, you're free to post them here, but remember - anyone can read your work. It's not a private journal. You can ask people not to comment, though, and if they do - feel free to complain.
• Graphics
Got an image you would like to share? With the whole of Nothing Compares? You're more than welcome. Especially if you have something really interesting.
One Night of Love
• Band Members
Were you accepted into a band? Well, there'll be a thread where you are more than welcome to add your members to. Otherwise, one of the admin [probably the owner of the band] will have to add it for you.
• Auditions
Did you want to be a part of the main band? The ones spoken about in the main table? That's great. You can post here. If you'd like to be one of the sub-bands [see RULES thread for details] then you can post and PM a message to the owner of that band and wait to see if your accepted.
• Fans
Relax. There's nothing wrong with fans. They're great, in fact, and guess what! You don't even need to wait acceptance to being role-playing! You might even, if your character can sing, play an instrument, be asked to join one of the bands. Wouldn't that be awesome?
Don't Try to Find Me
• MSN
Email and letters are great, but chatspeak over MSN is way easier, right? Or are you one of those goody-goods who take the time to use the full words? You're like Alixx [me] then. Feel free to make a thread and see how many join the conversation. You're allowed to use chatspeak if you'd like, or unless the thread owner says otherwise.
• Email
The easy way out of letter-writing. Complete with spell-check and all. Who knew it was so effortless to keep in touch? So fast, so simple!
• Letters
In love with someone and dying to tell them how you feel, but can't actually face them? Write a letter... heck, maybe you can even send it!
• Notes
Has your high-school or primary-school aged character lost something? Are you selling something, looking for something? Are you an owner of a shop and need staff? You're more than welcome to add your note to the [non-exsistant] collection.
• Calls
Do you have something you REALLY want to tell someone? Best friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, mum, dad, grandma or grandpa? Well, the best way is to call if you're out of speaking range.
• Texts
Can't get in contact with that special someone, or are you just one of those people, like Alixx [me, again] who hate talking on the phone? A text is a nice, easy way out. Chatspeak is welcomed [same conditions apply as MSN].
Downtown the Young Ones are Going
• the Drinker's Den
I'm sure all you drink lovers enjoy a night on the town [unfortunately I'm too young], so why wouldn't your character? Even if you're not drinking, you're welcomed to dance.
• Tattoo Oh-La-La
Got a sexy tattoo in mind, and finally the money saved to get it down? Come on in! Got a celeb's name you want on your chest, over your heart, maybe on your arm? A celeb's face, even? Who knows where you're going with this!
• Hot 'n' Cold Takeaway
There's always a low supply of workers here, so it's easy to get a job if you want after-school cash. And anyway, teens are always running short of money unless mummies or daddies are load, right? Get a part time job, it never hurt anyone in the past.
• the Market
Open right through the week and ready for stalls. After something herbal? Well, there's always a good couple of those stalls here. It's amazing the kinds of things you see. From young dancers to top performers, artists, and there's normally always a live band on weekends.
Youth is Like the Gardens in the Sun
• the Pool
Covered with kids on hot days. A great place for ants, and yet they're rarely seen. The many feet have probably scared them off. From toddlers all the way to ancient elderly, this place is a hit.
• the Park
Skaters go here to skate, parents take nagging children for picnics or a relaxing day, teens come here were life get's tough or relationships demand a day out, for fun and games. It's everyone's favourite place to be.
• the Primary School
The younger kids seem to love it here. Complete with a park, nice teachers and considerably lame lessons, what more could you want? Recess and lunch is always the best, and loudest.
• the High School
Teens hanging in corners, dragging their feet when the class bell rings, talking too loudly, smoking, drinking, eating and god knows what else! Typical high school. You either love it, or you hate it.
In the Summertime
• the Beach
Filled with people and hot, sunny days. The perfect place for couples, anytime of the week, year. A great place to catch a natural tan [or a natural cancer]. Remember the shades, hat, shirt and sunblock!
• the Apartments
Finally got a job, car, or a bus-pass and the money to move out of home? After that special bit of independence? Sign up for an apartment of your own and invite your friends over.
• the Library
We hate it, we love it. It holds books, it's a perfect place for a steamy make-out in the back corners where the books collect dust, and it's a perfect place to plot anything and everything.
• the Coffee Shop
Hungry? This place sells the best cakes, cupcakes and other bits and bobs. Thirtsy? They promise a money-back offer if you've tasted better coffee elsewhere. Heck, what could be better? Chilling with your friends, outside or in, with a steaming milo, hot chocolate, tea or coffee?
